Fortune Cookie - Winter Story (check it out here - http://theturninggate.net/blog/the-k...undwave-part-v - scroll down a bit).
Even though I've only heard a few songs by this group, I really liked 'em and decided to buy one of their CDs off Yesasia on a whim. (Also bought Casker's 3rd CD, which won't arrive for a few more days...) Also, here's an old Jaurim song I really like, from their first album. I'm really surprised by just how much I like that CD - it doesn't feel nearly as refined as their later stuff, but there's just a certain "something" about it that makes it nice to listen to. I'd actually rank it pretty high among their work in general.

My favorite local band. They usually don't play them on the commercial radios but they awards and critics love them. They've been touring the US even though they only sing in French. They have 2 albums out, and both are brilliant. This song (Le crabe = The Crab) is my favorite off their 2nd album, Trompe-l'oeil. I don't know if it's just the music or if the lyrics play a big part of it, but it's really, really good. If I had to compare it to a SR/TJ song, in the way it makes me feel, it'd be Souretsu. |
