Post Your Album (and more) Ranking.

Rank the albums. Let's do it in tiers, but keep it at two to a single position (at most). It makes things more interesting. Live DVDs and singles can be included if you feel they're that significant.

1. Shouso Strip

1. KZK

2. Electric Mole
2. Dynamite Out

3. Utaite Myouri
(The best parts of SR, at every point in her career -- INCLUDING Phase 2 -- in one package)

3. Muzai Moratorium

4. Sanmon Gossip
4. Ultra C

5. Sports
5. Adult

6. Heisei Fuzoku

7. Kyouiku (the difference is THAT big for me. While a few Kyouiku tracks are better than
their DO renditions, the Kyouiku concept was better realised as a live DVD. I'd rather not include
it, but it's an official album)

8. Variety
(I think it's more interesting than Sports, Adult and HF in quite a few ways...but I don't ever feel like listening to it)

9. Dai Hakken
10.Discovery
10. Bon Voyage

(They're on the list because they're the most disappointing things that SR/TJ have ever released IMO. Dai Hakken
became this after the new release excitement settled)

color bars is the release I'm most ambivalent about, so I can't put it anywhere on the list.
Putting WtH on the list feels like cheating to me, but you might disagree.

So much distaste for JCHI up in EM. Once I got over the fact that it's less of a concert and more of a live PV, I was totally good with it. JCHI has some of my all-time favorite arrangements and performances (instrumentally).

can't agree more, it's the best TJ concert imo, much better than DO that everyone is crazy about here

If what you like is costume changes, awkward cutaways, and a lifeless stage and sound, JCHI is going to be a standout.

My point is that I like the music/arrangements much better in JCHI compared to the rest of their lives. Everything else, yeah, not so much. Maybe I'm just a sucker for Adult.

I can understand that. I think some people might not like the loud, in-your-face, rock sound of DO and prefer the much more calm JCHI.

That being said, disliking an edgy rock sound when it comes to Shiina Ringo is just... counter-productive.

Shoujo Robot + Kabuki are the epitome of the JCHI sound, to me (I like the former better than Zazen, which kind of drags). Reminds me of a futurist future with Shiina Ringo as perverse dictator. I used to really hate it, but it's just disappointing coming from DO.
