Default Hanaregumi

Even though I'll listen to just about everything, usually I don't like contemporary country, even though I'll pretty much give everything a go. However I do like Nagazumi Takeshi (his stage name is Hanaregumi), he's got alot of soul. If you don't know him, he's a Japanese country singer, I think he currently is with a group named "Ohana" and hasn't done any solo work since 2005. Here's one of my favorite things he's done:

American country music is one of those things that give me the worst emotional aftertaste, as if my whole body (fully clothed) just took a dive in maple syrup - and if I'm lucky, then it's actually warm...

Instrumental country music isn't so bad, but I can NOT stand the Southern Drawl on steroids. Plus the alternative rock style of much of today's American country music is pretty watered down compared to non-alternative country, or non-country alternative, like it's not even half of what either of them are on their own. If the voice is supposed to be what carries most of that music through, and if I really hate the voice.... I guess if you really love the voice then you really love the music.

I'll have to check this out.

*edit*
Very cool song.

I also recognized the guy from here:
