I mostly don't like house, but for some reason I've been listening to this new Pantha du Prince album non-stop (for 48 hours anyway). I have liked some micro-house in the past, particularly Ricardo Villalobos (who is another artist with a reputation for pulling in some listeners who don't normally like this type of music). I'm not sure why I like this, but I think it's partly the tiny gamelan-like sounds throughout. It's also catching me at a time when I simply seem to be open to a broader range of genres than usual. |

^ House means to many things to be meaningful anymore. It's one of those terms which is always used with an adjective. I always liked soulful house (particularly from Japan), piano house, deep house... Matthew Herbert count as micro-house too I guess?
CLT: taking a break from that Air album - it gives me chills and makes my spine tingle. listening to something soulful, like this guy.
Sounds similar to Indigo Jam Unit's...

if you only watch one tori amos video in your life, it should be this one:
mannn...I used to never give this song a chance on the cd, but then one night it came on and I was just on another planet, totally off in the abyss....then I heard this live version, and...game over

Finally getting their Triangle in Japan 2 weeks ago, I've decided that, while it's not the perfection of GAME, it's still a fantastic album and a lot of feelings of the songs kinda exemplify the homesickness I have right now. It makes me happy reminding me of spring in Buffalo, and equally makes me sad because I know I'll miss that season this year. |

Juliana la reina del mambo
I am hesitant to post this (not because I'm embarrassed about liking it* but because I doubt anyone here will have much use for it), but I am really enjoying this new merengue discovery of mine:
*I'm pretty much past being embarrassed of liking anything. |
