To me it sounded kind of like Shibasaki's monotone was autotuned (monotuned?) or... something.

I'm trying to sort of mentally edit out the actual vocals and concentrate on the music.

NEVER GONNA UNDERSTAND. Ringo writes something that is actually nice and everyone except me finds it boring. Writes a turd like Coke song and people freakin love it.

I don't think it's amazing or anything, don't get me wrong. There's still a lot of patching up to do if she wants to win me back. But I don't think this will happen in a hurry. Lets see what the Rei Ayanami song turns out like.

But that has to beat Jun Togawa's Asuka Langley songs... which there's like no fucking chance. Because:

A- Jun Togawa's came out when Yapoos were at their best
B- Asuka >>>> Rei
C- Ringo's is a tie in with something- so it's gonna be cookie cutter without question
D- One of the Togawa tracks (12才の旗) also Susumu Hirasawa involved.

To be honest I never particularly cared for Evangelion; for me it crosses the line from mysterious and complex into the deliberately vague, and Hideaki Anno seems like kind of a pretentious ass for it. Kotono Mitsuishi was probably the best of it.

I really doubt the new song is going to sound much like Rei. Faye Valentine would be my bet.

This new song is better than Cola song, but it doesn't take that much effort to be better than autotuned garbage. Quite bland, maybe if it was Ringo singing this..

I preferred the Coke song. Coke song had a better melody. (also, Ringo's voice)
