The above is not at all how The Beatles worked, just fyi
That doesn't discredit your intention though.

It's weird you say Be Here Now because I think that's an album that's hard to boil down an essence for. I suppose big, grandiose songs would be the more encompassing feeling. That would be interesting, but I think thats a bit hazy for what I want from Jihen. They've been hazy for a while. I want something very focused like either Dig Out Your Soul (post-psychadelica extravagance) or Don't Believe the Truth (core, almost "old-fart" rock.)

I just want some Shiina songs that are actually relevant to my life! the current crop I can go a week or more without hearing and not actually care, that's clearly not right! her older stuff made me find the time to listen because it meant something to me and also sounded like it meant something to her!! just give me a song that matters and Ill be happy
as for the Oasis reference.. I wanna hear Shiina tear it up like an old Oasis B-side.. a Headshrinker-esque track would be incredible!! still though as long as she puts out a non other member written/ non orchstrated/ non soundtrack/ non fuckin' Neko song that has something to say to people then I'll be happy. wont be holding my breath though! (cause I'd be kinda dead) |
