I just notice that today, it´s like they were two diferent artist, and now all the tracks I´m listening are counted as the new one... That´s really strange, but it´s curious that on top of the new Tokyo Jihen page you find a bar saying Did you mean: Tokyo Jihen? Lastfm it´s really strange these days...

Last.fm doesn't really seem to reflect my listening habits...Katie Melua is way too high on the list.

After more looking around it appears that Tokyo Jihen is just a mess in the last.fm database. A search for the artist pulls the band up 7 different ways on the first page of matches alone. There are even more entries for the band as you scroll further through the matches. It's spelled everywhich way with and w/o kanji, with english or kanji in parenthases or brackets, with dashes, with slashes, with "Incidents", even with the kanji in various types of encoding (even within the same line of text). And yes, when you search for the band as "Tokyo Jihen" it does pull up one exact match, immediately above which is the line "Did you mean: Tokyo Jihen?"

A look at some of these various band pages shows the album and song titles listed in multiple variations including kanji, romaji, translations, and various combinations. I always knew last.fm did not track my Tokyo Jihen albums (I assume because mine are not tagged in kanji) but I never realized what a mess the band's page(s) was until now.

I always had problems with album tracking, there are many albums which technically should be high on the album chart but they're not, because they're just not recognized, even though I have all of them tagged properly. I think I even tagged KZK from last.fm and still it only picks up a few songs.
The worst offender though is Tori Amos' To Venus and Back which is probably my most listened album by her and it doesn't appear on the album charts AT ALL.

Whatever, I have scrobbling turned off at the time and I consider stopping using last.fm whatsoever, at least I'll stop thinking too much about what I'm listening to

I didn't see this before! I've got it all up in my signature, but here's my page in the official thread.
