New Omori Seiko Station episode features an intense acoustic live of Amai and a great raw performance KITTY'S BLUES (Piano ver.). Interview segment focuses on ARABAKI Rock fest.

Omori Seiko Station

BTW. Her piano style is utterly compelling to me. Everything is just slightly off, and it gives a real unsettling vibe. Love that kinda stuff in music.

Also, seems these episodes are put out weekly on Mondays so far...

OH AND....

Bikes into crowds wearing a onesie. Fuck yes.

EDIT: SOME NEWS

Oomori to be on the new Miwa Jiro (三輪二郎) album "Okasan" (おかあさん)- supposedly dueting on track 7 (ダブル・ファンタジー - Double Fantasy????). I imagine his unconventional acoustic folk will mix with her unconventional acoustic folk quite nicely. I really hope by 'dueting' it means both on guitar and vox. Out June 4. Now I know what to combine with my Ringo single.

Yeah this is the case for me too, it's awkward for me having people asks what am I learning Japanese for, saying music, them asking me oh who do I listen to and them only knowing Shiina Ringo, Utada, Akijan and Chat.

With that whole people knowing what Japanese stuff I listen to, most of the time they only know Boris, Ayumi Hamasaki, Utada and Susumu Hirasawa (through his P-Model and anime OST fame). Boris seems to be more popular in the west tbh.

Speaking of which and getting back on topic too, I wouldn't be surprised if they use Oomori for some anime soon enough.

Boris being more popular in the west is a fact. I haven't met anyone Japanese that knows them except for my friend who's half. There is not even that many Ayumi fans in my geek community either lol. There is like one and I think she only knows like My Story era stuff. I remember wanting to talk about how much I liked (miss)understood and NEXT LEVEL and I got derp face.

I would Oomori the Sailor Moon Reboot opening. Autowin. King Records artists did the tribute album so that might be the case for the anime. Them just using the tribute album for the OST.

It looks like they're releasing a 7 inch single of Midnight Seijun Isei Kouyuu on vinyl! It looks to be a June release. I wish they'd release the album on vinyl as I personally consider it to be her best.

Please be easier to get this time.

Where did you see this btw...

EDIT: oh wait found it on Jetset. Should be easy enough I hope. They are producing it so it will most likely get a listing on Amazon like a bunch of other stuff. Of course Jetset- to make things a little harder, have closed preorders to international customers on this item.

EDIT 2: I can't believe I only just found out that the front cover of Zettai Shoujo is by Mika Nanagawa (famous photographer and more importantly to Ringo fans, director of Sakuran, and more recently Helter Skelter- also to be noted she compiled the latest Togawa best of to tie in with that particular film)

EDIT 3: I secured a copy. Might make it 2 if I can, so then I can help out a fellow Oomori collector if need be.

Just a heads up to one fan to another: If you were ever planning to purchase the DVD "Tsumaran Yoru Ha Mou Yameta (つまらん夜はもうやめた)", now is the time to get onto it- it's officially now OOP (no longer on Amazon, CDJapan and HMV have it listed as "Backorder")- so get in fast if you can get it from somewhere before having to hunt it down/pay inflated prices for it.

My set/LP porn.

EDIT:

By the way, the 2014 version of PINK (on the second side of PINK) is emotionally overwhelming (I literally sat there nearly crying like a baby listening to it), I dare say it's superior to the original, perhaps my favourite recording of her so far...

So, if you have 30,000 yen+ to spare on a CD-R, the original demo recording of PINK is up for grabs on Y!A
