;;sigh;;

hasn't ringo bingo quite the forums like ten times already?

if you want to leave, leave, if you want to stay, stay.

I align with glath on this, I am a forum skimmer and pretty jaded by this point.

I like Ringo and the boys and I will support them but I haven't been digging much of the new music for a while. as excited as I get about new releases, more than anything, its akin to a burnt out college athlete reliving high school glories. I want to believe they can get that touchdown but I'm not sure.

I do like Sora but I haven't been able to locate the Onna preview (did it get pulled?)

It should play automatically after the 2 minute+ Sora video.

Check out their official site: all promotions and the release of the single have been postponed due to the Hata incident.

Hata is one of us.

EDIT: @ShadyNook below \/ Man, the Gunjo video kicked ass.... Even connected to Lady is a Tramp is pretty cool (though I always disliked their iterations of it.)

inb4 thread explodes...

Joke's on me for not listening to the previews for the singles until after it's postponed. And the sad thing is that I really like them. I've never heard all that much Tokyo Jihen (I never really thought I would like them too much. I'm not really a rock person.), but I actually like the Kameda's A-Side. I don't really have much of a comparison to make against older TJ stuff, but I thought even though it was pretty straightforward, I liked the song. As for SR's A-Side, I really liked it. Then again, I'm a sucker for jazzy showtunes. And SR acting cute.

I had came to think/feel that Tengoku e Youkoso was an interesting and consistent product with enough strong character, but then (I have to admit) my listening experience was slightly influenced by a repetition of negative reviews: it could probably not be as deep as I thought.

Now, I can't help but make a comparison between that song (and its hypothetical potencial on a live performance, and not precisely talking about a Music Station-promotional-playback-thing) and these new releases, coming inevitably back to my first impression, now definitely a conclusion.

Individually, we've heard the band make this kind of music in the past. Its the bizarre coupling of songs makes it controversial. Playing them back to back, I feel cozy in the rock song, then the wtf knee-jerk reaction by the big band pop. Its rebellious in a bizarre way.

heyyy this musical paradox has been done before in single and in PV! I remember not liking this musical tourettes back then either. TJ has come full-circle.

Deja Vu

It's pretty sad to see a single delayed after a huge portion of the promotion has already been done. I wonder if it will ever get released at all now.
