Sounds exactly how you'd think it would sound.
Zero effort evident.

Didn't expect that hilarious compose from Ringo. The troll-like singing makes me wanna laugh.

Ringo describes the song as a spell you say in the mirror that basically translates as "Mirror mirror on the wall, who's the fairest of them all?".

The lyrics according to google translate:
my cherie, my cherie huh tell me who I am? who I am? for you are my mirror very pretty, pretty, pretty huh tell me you love me? you love Me? oh, I am your mirror, my cherie That melody isn't original but could be nice in something faster and upbeat, I can almost imagine it on the demo tapes as a rock song. The lyrics would pass as subversive in that context... but in a beauty product commercial... nope

Her French has improved. Except for "tu m'aimes", there's a syllable in there she's pulled out of nowhere.

It's certainly nothing new or exciting, but at risk of being a troll, I kinda liked it. French Ringo has always worked well for me. I'd like to see what she would do with it live. And, though it may be a commercial, there's nothing there that sounds like it *isn't* Ringo - unlike Nagaku Mijikai Matsuri or especially NIPPON, where you could practically see her checking off each item in the spec.

I don't care either way, but I do like the harp in the 30s clip more than in Carnation. |
