Listening to the newly/finally released Beach Boys masterpiece, SMiLE. It is a transcendent marriage of rock and classical, fused with a kiss of psychedelica. If this album had not been abandoned in 1967, the music (history) landscape might look very different. (At the very least, we'd look at Sgt. Peppers and Smile as revolutionary works.)

anyone hear the sufjan stevens 26 minutes song yet, it is stupendous
long but not that hard to get through, many different change ups so it feels more than one song transitioning into each other, kinda pretentiously ambitious to do something like this but the music is very good, i enjoyed it, the direction is electronic but he pulls it off with the guitars and brass
