Perfume worked their asses off and surprisedly won the ear of their nation. Do they lose points for not being rare artists like Shiina, in consummate control of everything? Answer: Yes. They perhaps linger in the sub-basement of acceptable for those that choose to only relish the output of the most multi-talented. But still hills and dales removed from the astonishingly insubstantial vomit pop that is ultra-efficiently spewed by this nation's music machine and currently atop the pop charts. Unless, of course, you are crossing your fingers for the potential advent of Setagaya-ku 256. Last edited by TeslaGuy : 2012.06.03 at 07:25 PM. Reason: Duh |

^ First thing I thought of was Goldfrapp's Felt Mountain album. Which I adore. I'm gonna check out this artist right now, cheers!

Yes, after downloading I realised I had already listened to it before and forgotten. The album as a whole wasnt as intriguing as I hoped.

^ The track I chose to feature here was the only one on the album I really liked. Similarly, the tracks that followed today's post were comparatively disappointing (though better than Matryoshka).

^ Yes, I may have heard that album once or twice at most. But I still find very interesting the texture between the vocals, the violins and especially that sort of double-bass in Sink Into The Sin during the chorus.
I always find myself instinctively holding my breath between 2:57-3:00, 3:14-3:18 and especially at 3:47 and so on. It's enormous. Last edited by Carlx : 2012.06.06 at 11:18 AM. |
