Hahaha.. Shinji, you jerk! :p
I love Kyouiku because it's energetic. I love Adult because of the songwriting and its perfection. :p I love Variety because it has Shiina Ringo's voice and some awesome instrumentation on most songs. That justifies my likings (in my mind)! Last edited by fluffiethesock : 2008.03.27 at 07:12 PM. |

^ Really? There isn't a single good solo on the album and they have no stage presence.
I haven't listened to KSK in the longest time. I need to when I go home this weekend.

Hahaha. They don't have long solos, but they do really cool, smaller things that I really like. The mini solos in OSCA being an all-time fav.
KZK is probably my favorite thing Ringo touched, but I feel it has to be heard from beginning to end in one go and I rarely have a chance to do that. Oh, and it can't be background music to homework or something. It has to have your attention the whole time. The WHOLE time. Meaning, if your mind drifts when you are on a bus, for example, you have to rewind to the part you missed. |

2). "...she formed Tokyo Jihen as an excuse to either a. make life easier for herself by write simpler material or b. keep herself from having to admit that she won't be able to eclipse it" I don't think that of Ringo. I mean, maybe Radiohead will never be able to eclipse The Bends nor OK Computer but they still work together as a band!. I think that she did that because she just decided to have fun with those guys, I mean, she had the lots of money and yatta yatta... "Lets make a band guys!!! YEAH!" I really don't care about the whys, I just love TJ. 3). "After all, she must have accepted input from the musicians she worked with while she was a solo artist, so it's not as if she was ever completely on her own and has finally had enough of it" That's right. I agree completely on that. and maybe that's why she formed TJ: she likes to work w/other musicians and the band's enviroment. |

Hmmm... a vacuum cleaner, eh... yeah, I can hear that too... and yet I just keep thinking of dentist's offices and how they play the radio there!
*amazed at how my simple inquiry has snowballed into making this thread super-active! @_@* |
