It's cool, duder. Mexican Coke is widely available in the States. If I can get it in my shithole of a city, I'm sure you can get it wherever you are. It costs something like $0.84 per bottle at Costco, but it's totally worth the premium if you want an occasional Coke. The price almost guarantees you won't overindulge on the sugary goodness.

I'm being a bit disingenuous since I live in Texas and Mexican Coke is not entirely uncommon here. I order them in Tejano restaurants now and again.

You live in Ohio?

Anyway, this track. My biggest problem with this thing is that it tries to be peppy but the horns are too flaccid and her voice too flat (vocoded or not) to accomplish that. Hell, in Sekidou wo Koetara both the horns and her voice have more liveliness and that's not really even the point of that song.

Say whatever else you will about the Sunny A-sides, but they had purpose and the intensity to match. I mean, I now find myself missing NIPPON and the afternoons NIPPON got stuck in my head. The post-Sunny singles...dull, dull, painfully dull.

I liked those singles where she went back to the rock image for about 2 days...

I listened to the end of the song to figure out what people were going on about.

How embarassing.

I hope noone is paying for this single.

You know it's a real low when you have to think twice about pirating something (I had to verify the horror of the bit mentioned above). Damn. All this trash is going to be padding out the next album as well. Don't forget!

Moving on indeed! Right past the point of credibility.

I think this is the only time I've been disappointed in what Ringo is doing. I liked the majority of Sunny, and the concerts she put on after, but I can't get on board with this. This single can't be on the same album as those rock songs she put out, it would be a total mess.

Yeah, right?? And wasn't there talk when those promo images came out about that being her "look for 2015" (or something along those lines?)?

It's frustrating when her output continues to be watered down like this... I have no idea what kind of impression to have of her these days. Not to say that I want her to write angsty music because she seems to be in a good place, but at least in previous years you could gain some sense of her identity as a musician. Now it's just jarring.

Every time she teases a more serious rock direction (Sora ga Natteiru, Shijou no Jinsei) it ends up becoming a fluke (Onna no Ko, whatever the romaji is for this new track, I can't find it in me to care).

It's catchy as always, but if this song came on the radio I'd switch to another station.

Thanks for lowering my expectations by reading this thread.

I actually like the single. Melody is strong, band is killer, bossa-nova groove. Auto-tune don't bother me.

It could have been a Jihen song, but it would have been a pretty good Jihen song.
