@TeslaGuy: justriiingo and I were impressed by your post of Midori Hirano - Feathers and the tracks on her myspace. Anyway I saw her live at the London International Festival of Exploratory Music last month and bought her klo:yuri CD. Live she builds up tracks like this with loops, laying down beats in unexpected places, and accompanying her voice with grand piano. I'm sorry I didn't have the £$£$ to see Oorutaichi as well who played after...

Another new find, sort of a Japanese Steely Dan.

love your picks as always Tesla. I was just thinking that first song would be pretty close to a successful phase 3 sound, based on the recent 3min single. I prefer that 2nd tune myself Need to do research!
edit: I was just thinking why the name Tomita Lab sounded so familiar - I've seen that name on fantastic plastic machine comps before. house music, anyone?

Seems a lot of people were upset by this, but I think it's a hilarious tribute/parody/ripoff. |

This one sounds like an updated Yamashita Tatsuro tune with a Jazzanova-like arrangement, and a dash of Cornelius, too!
