Check out POOL too if you didn't see the PV yet. They did a listen party 2 weeks ago via USTREAM. I missed it :< It was 9am in the morning on a day I have not class and I missed it.

I forgot to mention Cuushe's "Butterfly Case". She has establish strong separate realms within the sound of each album thus far while keeping this dream thing going. Looking forward to collaborations with other artists if she ever gets the notice.

It's on JPS now. The album is no nonsense rock n roll. The first listen is a pretty enjoyable experience - I sat through the set effortlessly. I'll see how I feel about it by the end of the year.

Here Comes The Night Time

God, this is so goddamn pretentious, yet so damn amazing. I love when bands go all out with their bombastic ideas and still deliver the goods as Arcade Fire so clearly are. This is gonna be one hell of an album, and my bets are that it will probably be one of them huge initial-dividing albums that ultimately gain a place in music history, you just watch.

^That's a Tokyo Jihen/Shiina Ringo cover band from Indonesia. At some point they started to write their own songs and then made two albums. They do a pretty good job of copying that Jihen sound. I wouldn't mind picking up a CD by them except it's hard to find on the internet.

Oh boy... yet another reason to fall in love with Seiko Oomori.

Take this jpop ditty by C-ute:
C-ute- 大きな愛でもてなして

AND now hear Oomori's absolute deconstruction of it:

I haven't heard a cover totally change the tone of a song like that since "20th Jun Togawa"!!!

Yesssssssssssss.

Holy shit...
I unironically used to like that song... that is amazing.
She is going idol parody HARD. It almost seems more explicit than Togawa. Forget Shiina, Togawa's true successor is Oomori.
It's also vaguely Bonnie Pink-ish, which is always great because Bonnie Pink hasn't done chill-out blues-tinged in a while.

AND ANOTHER FUCKING OOMORI ALBUM:

"絶対少女"

this time a full studio album, under the solo name, to be released on December 11th, on PINK records (her own label), cat no PINK 004.

Tracklist:

1. 絶対彼女
2. ミッドナイト清純異性交遊
3. エンドレスダンス
4. あまい
5. Over The Party
6. 少女3号
7. プリクラにて
8. PS
9. hayatochiri
10. W
11. 展覧会の絵
12. 青い部屋
13. あれそれ
14. 君と映画
15. I&YOU&I&YOU&I

I'm hardly digging under the surface of one release and BANG! along comes another, one of the most prolific artists I've had the pleasure to get into. Let's hope she can keep this up!
