Thank you Lena! I will take the "mature" comment as praise I guess I can finally catch up on everyone else's opinions. I'm not super suprised and can see most people's points. But DG, I guess we just won't ever see eye-to-eye! My review is like the exact opposite. Right down to thinking the closer was better than intro.

I mean I appreciate a positive review that's more than "yass queen!" but I've never, ever seen a Ringo release fall off the radar faster in all the time I've been following her, from both fans and detractors. I think that probably speaks the loudest.

I honestly think it's her worst by a margin and the staggering lack of online chatter (ghost town, actually) speaks the loudest on it. You wrote well in your piece and seem to enjoy it so fair enough.
The few defenders I've came across for it don't ever seem to give a reason for liking it. They just attack Seiko Oomori or quote sales figures and other odd things. None actually mention the music. Good for you! I personally only found scant shards of promise in the opening and closer, but felt both were squandered in execution. I honestly found no redeeming qualities in-between. So much of the music was old and recycled I couldn't take it seriously as an album and it came across as a desperate mashing together to pretend there was an album there to be had. |

I actually think it's great lol
The meltdown it's causing is amazing to watch and to use actual moves from FORTNITE? Someone's son put her up to this. The remix is trashy as the performance and I dig it.

^ That about sums it up haha. It's a fun little ditty.
It's probably best not to read too far into one TV performance anyhow. |

That's hilarious. Marunouichi sadistic is so fucking done. That version is how I feel about the song. An old song trying to be hip, so over the top. I dig it in a "I appreciate it, but I never want to listen to that earnestly" way.
