That's funny, I always found ZX to be the "more punk" one due to the garb juxtaposed with the songs/song choice. (And GX, by comparison, the stock rock and roll show.)

^ especially when she jumps about during Yokushitsu.
FOUL: It’s tighter than most of its megaphone cousins, and the alliteration and rhyming in the lyrics gives it extra snap and makes it fun to sing along to. Service is not the best song from Kyouiku, but made for an absolutely insane live performance (DO). FOUL did the same for Ultra C. Selected JCHI: Ok, I hated this concert initially but some of the new arrangements had this weird sci-fi horror (sorry) sound to them that reminded me of Harlan Ellison. It was especially present in Shoujo Robot, Kabuki and Honnou. |

To me it's more kawaii than punk.
She isn't the head-banging type of rocker. These moves are the closest to Ringo rocking out: 1. She hops like a bunny. 2. She shakes her booty. 3. She waves her arms. 4. She punches air with both fists. |

JCHI Shoujo Robot, Yukiguni, Kabuki, and Kenka Joutou are really, really great.
In Shoujo Robot, the way she says みたくて! after the bridge is just so awesome And in Kenka Joutou, the crunching guitar solo in the middle is really cinematic. |

Tengoku He Youkosu - For The Tube (bonus song from Daihakken). I don't know what it is about this version, but it gets me right in the spinal cord every time. The rest of the album is here and it's there, but this one takes me back to the early days.

Tengoku He Youkosu - For The Tube so desperately needs to be the theme song for True Blood. I can totally picture the impressionistic HBO-styled opening credit sequence with lots of white background and blood trickling slowly across the screen while this song plays all out. If that happened, people will say "who's this singer?" and then everyone will "discover" Ringo in the States and she'll come over and blow us away. If only I ran Hollywood. |

I can’t believe it, but I’m starting to like Discovery’s Onna...dare demo after listening to the mp3 a few times. Uki’s contribution makes the thing sound like paranormal Disneyland. Like alien magic or something.

Imo Shuraba's album version is better than the single version.
Noriki from Sports is one of the best pop songs ever. Sports is one of the greatest albums of all-time. |

Come on, even her "lesser" albums are filled with incredible songs. I don't see how anyone can deny that Sports is better than 99% of the music released.
