She has a great voice. The first similar artist I thought of was Billie Holiday, though. Then I saw that similarity mentioned in her bio too.

That's quite a back story with her accident and music literally serving as therapy. That fact that she has hypersensitivity to sound as a result of the accident yet still has the drive to produce such beautiful music let alone tour is beyond admirable. Plus she's from Philly!

Just found out that Melody has a flickr page!

Isn't that photo absolutely gorgeous? She and that cane... reminds me of House.

I think it's serendipitous how Melody became a performing artist... which is probably why all her songs sound so effortless. With SR and KZK sometimes I feel that she's trying too hard; the music is so intense and so complex... and then you have the symmetry - not just in song titles but in instrumentation too. I'm thinking this is probably the reason why I adore Phase 1 so much, because it's the first time SR actually looks like she's enjoying herself.

Can't take my ears off Melody these days. Hope I'll catch her live one day.

Just found out that Melody's gonna be touring the West Coast really soon! I'm so excited, I just bought 5 tickets for the Vancouver show
