compared to the original, this version is kinda meh. the tone is what gets to me. some people have related that back to izawa's organ, but I think its just the total production value, from ringo's voice not suiting the song to everyone. jihen is definitely too over-produced and having all five instruments in each number definitely hinders them. SG was kind of a wave of fresh air because she was temporarily freed from them. kinda ironic considering her solo career was pretty defined by experimental work. its like she decided to chain herself down to a 4-piece setup.

I'm really curious to hear the next single... it'll probably give us a good idea of what the next album will sound like. It would be nice to know the theme but I never really felt the themes they pick for each album are really reflected in the music except for Adult, maybe.

The promotional photos for Variety and Sports reflect the overall feel of those albums. This one's gonna be darker. I see this being the Fukushuu, BB Queen, Ikiru, and Tengoku e Youkoso album, maybe And maybe some Kenka Joutou if it's 'Mystery'.
