I doubt many more details will come out on this other than what's already been reported (for example even a year later, they haven't released the cause of death on the vocalist from fuji fabric)

I guess in the Japanese celebrity world, the severity of the crime isn't as important as who they are. kusanagi tsuyoshi from SMAP didn't face all that many consequences after his "hadaka ni natte nani ga warui" incident. Everyone is saying SR might fire him too, but I wonder how much of it will actually be her decision. Depending on the crime, there might even be pressure from the label for him to resign.

I think his future in the band will be a good indicator of how label controlled this band is. If he disappears we can be sure that this is still a talented bunch being persuaded by the almighty dollar and if he stays I guess it means they just lost it and their still doing things their way or their just OK with anything now. I'm not sure I'm interested either way but this is fun news.

They're acting like he's some member of Hello! Project that's been caught smoking, or at least dating some older man. But Hata had at least implied before that he considered quitting TJ and showbiz to go back and live in his hometown. Maybe this will push him to do it.
