Yes.

I also like Bone thugs~n~harmony (mostly Krayzie Bone), A Tribe Called Quest, 2Pac, Biggie, and Lupe Fiasco.

Float On?

Game of Love

Gregg Alexander is one of the best songwriters of our generation (if limiting it to pop makes you sleep easier, so be it.) His Maybe You've Been Brainwashed too... album as the New Radicals is inspired and unfairly underrated. I heard "Game of Love" by Michelle Branch back when and found it catchy enough to do some research. Sure enough, I found the song was written by none other than You-Get-What-You-Give Gregg Alexander. Upon learning this, I immediately envisioned him singing the song. Of course! It sounded just like one of his songs! Duh. I had long sought after a possible demo of the song, sung by the man himself. Sometime in the years since I last searched, apparently its surfaced under my nose. I am psyched!

Now to see if his fabeled, pre-Radicals, solo albums have surfaced.

I'm going to roll the dice with a double post, and actually bump this "thread" over my recent fav album post for this:

That, ladies and gentlemen, is a band!

Tokimonsta- So Sick(instrumental)

This has become my favorite drug this week. Shiina Ringo lost only by a slight bit...

Unrelated Rantings below...

I hate Singapore. period. All that government bullshit about bringing up the standards of the Arts scene here. Yet all the radios and television shows are all mainstream bullshit.

All my good music now, I got it all from here. Thanks guys, for opening up the music world to me! (Though I have doubts that you guys are real [My consciousness is a bit reluctant to accept reality as it is])

I bought my sanmon gossip from HZM at Marina Square underpass and it was the only stock left. I wonder where all the Ringo fans who bought it too are...

W3iHong: Welcome to the real music world Glad you're liking TOKiMONSTA. Are u old enough to get into clubs yet? She did a gig at Home Club last year and I was there. Btw: Listen to Lush 99.5. Best thing on the Singapore mainstream media.

Anyway. I thought this deserved some mention on EMF.
Gil Scott-Heron has passed on at 62.
I hope he's found peace.
His music has been an inspiration to so many musicians that I love...
Here's a bit to remember him by.

Gil Scott-Heron - Lady Day & John Coltrane

oh yeah. Post #2666.

Pretty cool stuff, justriiingo!

oh, and I'm currently listening to the last Juliette Lewis' album, Terra Incognita
I wish I could find the Intro+track 2, cause they are strongly related, but I found just track 2, Noche Sin Fin:

Juliette Lewis - Noche Sin Fin

Savatage - Sirens,
is one of the best metal albums I've ever been introduced to (which in my case didn't happen until more recently).

Savatage - Target
