Default TJ Disbanding

Just saw this at Jpopsuki...

Tokyo Jihen is disbanding. The official site is overloaded atm, as the announcement was made there.

They're gonna do a farewell tour called "Domestique Bon Voyage", performing at Yokohama Arena, Osaka Jo Hall and Nippon Budoukan (2 performances at each venue, 6 lives overall).

Hints it was coming were all over the place but it's still sad. Farewell.

Default Tokyo Jihen Split!?

Just got a tweet from a friend that says that Tokyo Jihen have spilt!

I can't open the link on the tweet or any official websites.

Maybe this is it! Colours bars really will be the end.

Original tweet:

@ShenaRingo_Net 【東京事変より重要なお知らせ】 東京事変が解散することを公式HPで発表しました #tokyojihen http://ow.ly/8o6p0

My it's 1 in the morning should be in asleep translation:
Important info from Tokyo Jihen: Tokyo Jihen have formally announced there break up on their home page.
-------------

Could it be a hoax? Thoughts?

Well, there's still no indication that Shiina Ringo's solo-career is dead for good.

Well there were definitely some signs of it coming; kudos to those of you who put the pieces together and guessed that it would actually happen.

Is it wrong of me to be a little excited for Shiina's solo career at this announcement?

I think we can take the question mark off the topic.

When she talked in recent interviews about Uki and Izawa being young men who weren't expected to stay in TJ forever, that was the writing on the wall for me. She didn't push them out, but she probably didn't pressure them to stick around.

It's interesting to think that if certain members aren't being replaced---if TJ is just going to expire---then that means SR and Kameda are probably satisfied with what they've accomplished as a group.

Ding dong, the coven is dead.

I for one am glad. I've enjoyed a few songs, but what a waste of talent on ALL fronts -- not just Shiina Ringo. In my opinion.

Yay new Appa album!

It says there's an interview with SR that just got published on kuronekodow. Site's getting hammered.
