Yeah, they probably spared her village from being burned down. She probably couldn't say no to the Chinese officials kinda like how those underage gymnastics girls don't have a choice.

Wow that comes across as kinda rude, actually. I am not going to pretend for a moment that China's exactly a shining bastion of human rights etc, but that comment just comes across as being really ill-informed.

Not particularly. You just don't read enough Maou posts. I know Chinese officials wouldn't do that (well some local governments might). Simply said because others are downplaying the fact that is was incredibly rude of China to tell a talented singer that she wasn't cute enough to be in their show, but some other "cute" girl would lip-synch her song. They tried to deceive the world and the non-cute girl likely got little or no compensation. She was put in a situation she couldn't say no to.

Yay table tennis time!

Am I the only one who finds fencing hard to watch? I can never tell who hits who even in HD and slow-motion. Their stupid helmet light things don't even help.

So you're saying the cute looking girl received lots of money... or what?
Maou, what you're saying doesn't make sense, unless you always feel revolted when some entertainment production tries to deceive the world, aka, every milli-second. It's such a normal procedure that I can't be affected anymore by the point your trying to present as the one that makes you disgusted. But that's just me.

If you really can't see something wrong with what happened to the non-cute girl, I don't know what to tell you. I'd never sing again if something like that happened to me.

Anyway, can we talk about the events now? Track stuff is starting so the games are about to get really good.

Did anybody watch that epic 3.5 hour ping pong match yesterday!!!!!!!

Singapore vs South Korea

and for the first time... SINGAPORE WON!!!!!!
Though I feel sorry for Park Mi Young who lost after the 3.5 hour duel...

The Singapore girls will be up against China on Sunday 7:30pm (GMT +8) and I'm damn sure I'm gonna watch that one.

Singapore for GOLD! If not at least, a silver.
