Who would be in your dream band?

Looking at the phase 3 thread got me thinking about all-star bands so I wanted to put forth the question to you guys: Who would be in your dream band? What would that line-up look like? It doesn't have to be a band for any specific genre or anything like that and it doesn't have to be about who are the best but just your favorite musicians and performers. Just list who you'd have at each instrument, etc. I still need some time to figure mine out, though @_@.

Singer: Shiina Ringo (Tokyo Jihen, Shiina Ringo)
This was a tough choice, I like a lot of other vocalists but she has the most interesting voice as has pulled off so many styles that it would be a great influence in the way the songs go.

Lead Guitar: Miles Kane (singer/songwriter/guitarist of The Rascals and second half of The Last Shadow Puppets)
Miles is really fun to watch, always looks like he's enjoying himself and I think he's really good too. He likes a lot of retro stuff andseems to experiment with a lot of different sounds, pedals and other effects.

Rhythm Guitar: Nick Valensi (The Strokes)
The Strokes have an odd setup for their guitarists, Nick seems to do all the rhythm sections but he does most of the solos. I think a lot of the solos are impressive and I like how he has his guitar so low.

Bass: Chris Cain (We are Scientists)
I don't really have a favorite bass player, I like a lot of bass lines but most bassists are boring on stage. This guy is alright but he's really witty and funny so I think he'd be great to be in a band with.

Drums: Matt Helders (Arctic Monkeys)
This guys is so fun to watch, he gets really into it and does most of the back up vocals which is the best thing to watch him do. He has a good voice for it although I don't know if it would be used too much in a band with Ringo.


I don't know if there would be keys in this band but it would definitely be HZM.

I'm not saying it to be a prick or piss certain people off or to be cheeky, but I felt this was going to be the band of the ages. They had the potential to go down in the books on a totally separate page from Shiina solo. Sorta like the mythos of the Stone Roses where they had that one album everyone loved and everyone pegged them as successors to the throne, then they sorta fell off the face of the earth. But unlike the Roses, Jihen keeps living in name only, which really dillutes the "well they COULD HAVE been" thought for many. When you replace three of your members, songwriting members, its nary the same band anymore. But thats my dream band, I dont think any other mortal band can touch em.

(the only thing i'd change is to not have keyboards/piano in every song)

I also thought that was an amazing line-up, even though I prefer most of ADULT to Kyouiku, I still would rather have Hirama and HZM.

I wonder if the Beatles can touch it =).

That would be a crime against humanity considering how Hirama and Benzie are excellent composers. Seriously, just because Phase 2 is a failure doesn't mean SR should compose everything in a theoretical Phase 3.

Also lol @ this thread basically being a "Dream Phase 3 Lineup" thread.
