uhm...
Filming cost: Low-budget Shiina's appearance: Priceless.. I don't think choreography in OSCA is terrible. Indeed, it's fun...except some unglam panties flashing. Com'on..beauty in simplicity . And I think it's good for TJ to establish an economical-yet-effect-PV style. I just cannot bring myself to imagine TJ acting out in a PV with elaborate storyline and special effect...uhm.... Seeing them being themselves and playing their own stuff is excellent enough for me |

????? I'm really confused here. Just because you don't hear about it in Western media doesn't mean she isn't a huge blazing success in Japan. Which she is. She isn't some superstar like Kumi Koda or Utada Hikaru, but she's Up There for sure. |

Freckles: Yea commercial success as in Utada or Ayumi. And why would the Western media mention anything about SR? I suppose I misused the term commercial success. What I mean is the difference between say, Norah Jones compare to Modonna, where Norah gets to dress up as a flower and dance in her video ( ~_~ ), Modonna gets a crew of La Parkour running amok in Tokyo, or having CGs in her videos etc. I'm guessing from what you say TJ is in the former category...
Man I still haven't seen the OSCA clip yet... I'll have to wait for YouTube or my ADSL 2 line, which ever comes first... X(

on-topic: I like the 'pure white' in Shuraba PV. And the way it presents. Very Comme des Garcons indeed. I really love it (not the brand). Ukigumo looks good there. Last edited by ChickShhh : 2007.06.25 at 07:58 AM. |

I think they just like putting an emphasis on the band playing and not so much on "flashy-ness". Although sounan looked to be a simple set, im sure the camera work and the video editing probably costed alot.
