Bayonetta is one hell of a game. Brilliant gameplay, lengthy cutscenes, soooo many combos and weapons and skills to learn. And in addition to that, the completely wicked humor, starting with a side character pissing on the name of the game's director to the hilarious voice acting and over the top choreographies.

As a stopgap while I wait for Bayonetta I decided to dust off Parasite Eve 2 for the PS1 as I never actually finished it ages ago. I played it on the epsxe emulator as I felt like having flashy graphics and the ability to save anywhere I get to disc 2 and the thing wont load seems the emulators can't bypass certain protection on some games, so I mess about for hours patching the game images (both UK & US) and nothing works! so very annoying.
My old PS1's recently gave up the fight and died so I had to climb up that dusty attic and hunt for my old PS2 (with broken disc tray front) and find my actual copy of Parasite Eve 2 and start from the beginning on the real hardware. Emulation should have worked out a simple way of beating these games by now? Edit: the fucking game crashes at the disc 2 prompt even on a REAL PS2? I've resorted to buying a cheapo used PS1 model from eBay in a final attempt to clear this game. Last edited by Ringo~Bingo : 2010.01.02 at 04:05 AM. |

Has anybody played PixelJunk Shooter? That game is so fun~
Bingo, my roommate can't WAIT for Bayonetta. I played the demo and it was pretty fun. I will enjoy watching her play. |

I'm almost finished with Bayonetta. The demo is just the tip of the iceberg.(lol, I just noticed for the first time how stupid this word is, the english word for ice mixed with the german word for mountain.)
This game is just INSANE, and it's really a hardcore experience. I think almost anyone should play this.

Got Fight Night Round 4 as a boxing day special. Extremely disappointed with the game. Poorly designed training games, barebone career mode...not something I expected from EA who usually nail the presentation, even if the gameplay is not top notch.
Will be trading in game and Forza 2 for Street Fighter 4.

^ I tend to hate sports games unless the title begins with 'Mario'. My dad and cousins used to play Fifa 95 on the Mega Drive/Genesis all night and it was the most fsking boring thing ever
Bayonetta is great. I like how they advertised it over here with La Roux. "I'm going in for the kiiiiill I'm doin' it for the thriiiiiiill" Last edited by Scribble R : 2010.01.06 at 05:01 AM. |

I'm tempted to walk into town just to see if any stores have put out Bayonetta early. They usually aren't as strict unless it's a huge release like a Halo or Call of Duty.
Edit: Not going to bother, it's too cold.

Bleh. Bayonetta is aight. Still got nothing on Ninja Gaiden and Vanessa Z. Schneider is still the best dancer in video games.
