is practically a part of west (sense of cold war or G7 values or so), I really don't like the attitude that overemphasizing 'cultural difference'. I remember back in 80s, there were so many 'culture' talking that intended to led 'THEY are different from US, so WE should take DIFFERENT TREATMENT toward THEM' thought. These 'cultural difference' talk was used as a cover of racism. Humans are not that different. Last edited by EmilScherbe : 2007.06.01 at 03:57 AM. |

Haha, don't worry k3nj1kun.. I don't think anyone's actually angry with you. I understand how what you said could be misinterpreted, but I know you didn't mean anything by it.

You said to me, "You should try living in a different country." Um. I've already done that. Twice. So having it suggested to me as if I'm some poor backwards ethnocentric person... while you are the worldly traveler... uh. Is way off. THAT'S what I had a problem with. |

Kanji in your titles, WITHOUT a romanization or translation. I've got no problem with something like "Favourite song off 無罪モラトリアム (Muzai Moratorium)" or whatever.
