I have to say your decision is right, unfortunately.
As a native Japanese person, I would apologize to a man who once want to became Japanese, the fatal result of our immature democracy. Our elected government is not functioning as it should be and I'm a one who voted them on 2009 Aug 30 election with hope. Farewell Mugg or Jonny. |

I'm still in Japan and I'm staying put.
Here in Kanagawa we are in no danger from the radiation atm. We do have to worry about aftershocks though. Oh, and blackouts too, and lack of trains. Apart from that, things are just peachy. |

Yeah, I know a couple people who, living in Tokyo, are fleeing to Osaka for normality. Are blackouts still a big problem in places not in the North-East? Are businesses back up in Tokyo again, or has it been at a stand still? I couldn't imagine going back to work after that, but the economy does has to keep going.

^ The schools are closed from what I know and people do go to work but not all of them. How I see it, is that they try to continue their lives by sticking with the daily routines but that must be hard..
I believed at first the words of japanese that told that there is not a big problem going on with the nuclear plants but after those start to explode one after another, it kinda makes you think. It was interesting to read your messages here who already had doubts about japanese media and such. Thanks also for the translation of Shiina's message. Because she took a couple of days after the catastrophe to inform us I was quite worried about her, because so many other artists were confirmed to be alive on the 11th already. |

It's all very sad. Where are people going to go if large portions of the country become uninhabitable?

Schools are still open but doing half days.
People are going back to work now like normal but have to deal with scheduled power cuts that may or not happen and disrupted train services. |

According to the Criirad (a french independant commission on research & information about radioactivity) commenting the results of measures made by a japanese laboratory:
le niveau de radioactivité de l'air a très fortement augmenté sur Tokyo le (mardi) 15 mars, entre 10H00 et 12H00, avec un pic de radioactivité sur les poussières prélevées à 11H00". A ce moment, l'activité du césium 137 aurait atteint 60 Bq/m3, "soit plus de 10 millions de fois le niveau antérieur aux accidents nucléaires"... I guess you don't need a translation.

In even middle of march, it gets colder. In the TV, I am watching really chilly moist snow. I see you are feeling physically of course, also mentally numbed with cold. Though I am quite powerlessness and tantalizing, challenging things what I can at all times. At the same time, I am sending my passions. It's unfathomable. I wish it to reach you. Please everyone can keep up. I am praying. From Ringo. |
