The fact coke song gets most reaction makes me sad.

Likely means more of this garbage incoming.

Just like endless Paranormal Activity movies, you can give your thanks to general public bad taste.

Show sounds alright but seeing is believing. I'll wait till DVD/Blu Ray.

Could be. But how many new listeners came there expecting mindless pop, got exposed to something really good, and will become more serious fans? It would be interesting to see the demographics on this show and/or others from the tour, like we could with the one in Taiwan.

Oh well. I suppose dropping my expectations to absolute 0 may help me enjoy her next 5/10 album to the point of me thinking its actually a 7/10. :-p

Absolutely NOT saying I want to see an album full of it (even through we're probably going to get one; if she is going to do it I hope she gets it out of the way soon). But if Nagaku Mijikai Matsuri got people to go to her show and listen to the good stuff, maybe it's not *so* bad.

Maybe I'm reading too much into gekokujyo's comments, but also it sounded like maybe some of the new songs sounded a lot better live. Which I had kind of wondered about/hoped. Maybe after watching the DVD even I'll start to like NMM.

12. Torikoshikurou - wow I've missed this song. I really loved this performance though there wasn't anything different about it.

14. Blackout - Expo'08 realness!

15. Meisai/tsumi to batsu - Cute umbrella prop. She sounded very good.

18. Sigma - this was the start of what I call the "feminist" section - this song was a great jolt of energy from the last song. Megaphone pt 1.

19. Keikoku - HANDS DOWN my favourite performance of the night! apart from my bias for the song to begin with, she played it straight ala album, complete with her guitar playing. really got into it.

21. Sayuri dorobou neko song - this was actually excellent, I hope she covers it on her next self cover album.

22. Mayonaka - She played it straight ala studio arrangement! vastly superior to the EM rendition.

23. Shiny pussy - they did an electro funk arrangement. it was cute, and led up nicely to......
there's a lot in the middle of the setlist I'm getting about from your description; really looking forward to this one

I do like the EM Mayonaka but studio version is just TSPO sexiness so I'd love to hear another group try that arrangement

This was definitely a really, really strong section. Iir, sigma also utilized that one riff (?) from back in black (?? I think) which sounded soooooo cool. Listening to her and watching her, I really felt all over again why I and all of the people there are her fans in the first place even from where I was sitting, it looked like her eyes were shining the whole time. The ending credit video was also super cute (toriyama-style Ringo, I think I cried a little) set to futaribocchi no jikan...

I was really impressed with how good Shijou no jinsei sounded live, also...

Kodama seemed to be outside meeting and greeting fans after the show he went to school on Sendai, I think, which is why he did the opening announcement for the show.

ETA I think the cheers for NMM were honestly a result of the building tension in the set list. For me it was like matsuri song -> matsuri song -> holy shit it's a festival today and ITS RINGOS BIRTHDAY!!!! (Screaming)

Didn't she play off the riff from MJ's Thriller at one point, or are we referring to the same thing?

I wish I had gotten better seats grrrrr...

It's creeping up the list! The horror!

I guess we know what she's singing at New Year's.
