Ringo would have to be a magician to play the exact sound of the recording (tone, acoustics, etc.) in a live setting. Guitar sounds way too much like the recording to be legit. Even if it was the same guitar played in the original single it would still sound a little different.

well i hate to say it but this song has finally grown on me. It's still a shitty version of rakujitsu but a shitty version of rakujitsu is still better than superstar and fukushuu, not to mention 99% of pop music. I should have listened to it in full sooner but I was so turned off from the clips on Smile.

Ariamaru Tomi has grown on me very much so... it's not amazing, but I do like it.

And I much prefer it to SG, which had potential, but the chorus just isn't strong enough. The instrumentation is good in the second half, but overall it's just way too messy.

SG has got the style, it's just a bit overproduced and I'm not really used to such a stoic voice. I'm really liking the direction of it, a lot more than Ariamaru (though some more accoustic would be cool if done better). Overall these are two songs I can appreciate as non-album tracks and don't really indicate anything bad for the future. I really really hate the "Ahhhhaaaaaaaaaaa" in Ariamaru although I'll probably have some stupid stuff like that when I finally put my songs together and I won't have the album after album of amazing songs to justify a little unimpressive 4 seconds.

Have to disagree with you there. I think that AT is a hundred times better than Rakujitsu.

Ariamaru Tomi is going to be one of those criminally underrated songs, I can tell.

Anyone who thinks it's merely average needs to listen to the FULL version. And listen to it with good quality speakers, of course.

(I admit that I should have given AT more of a chance when I heard that small preview a while back)

Totally seconded... I LOVE this song, I'm serious. It's great and I'm glad it's not featured in the album,

a) because if the album sucks (it won't xD), this gem will be out of it.

b) because, conceptually, this is like Mayonaka wa Junketsu. You only can listen to it on the single ^^.

It feels more like the "La Salle de Bain", considering "Futaribochi Jikan" is a parallel with "Ringo no Uta" and "SG" is a parallel with "Ringo Catalogue".
Actually, it doesn't make any sense at all! That's Ringo.
