Default KSK and SS Pressings?

Are there multiple pressings of KSK and SS that might have slightly different audio?

I ask because I have been gradually re-ripping my CD and DVD collections to lossless formats. I finally got around to some of my Shiina Ringo discs, and lo and behold, EAC is claiming that they are bad. Specifically, EAC's log shows that track 5 on KSK (Yattsuke Shigoto) and tracks 11 (Byoushou Public) and 13 (Izonshou) on SS cannot be verified against the AccurateRip database.

The weird thing about this is, I've tried ripping these two discs now 3 different times, and the track CRCs are the same every time (and I'm using Test & Copy, so that's really 6 reads with identical results). And the discs themselves are pristine - this is literally the third time ever that they have been out of their cases.

For KSK, the disc I have *is* the old copy-controlled version and I know it was re-released without copy protection - but if it were the copy protection, why is the issue only with one single track? As for SS, I have no idea.

Should I be re-buying these to get good rips? Or are they, in fact, good rips already? I mean, I know I don't really *need* to replace these discs, but it bothers me...

Do they sound fine?

Fuck re-buying them for a log score lol.

They do sound OK. But are there possibly different and/or remastered versions of these songs out there?

Not counting MoRA and vinyl, I'm not sure. Where's Glath at? He's good with this kind of question...

If you're getting everything else right except the accurip part then don't worry too much I reckon.

I have a Taiwan pressing of KSK and a JP one and the data is different, not just caused by different offsets.

The copy of KSK I have is copy controlled and I get different CRCs in 2 different drives. That may explain why you don't get AccurateRip matches. I ripped mine in a Plextor PX-755A and only tracks 7 and 10 have matches.

Also, none of the tracks of my Shouso Strip rip have AccurateRip matches but I ripped this back in 2008. I think mine's the first pressing.

Thank you for the idea. I dusted off my old Plextor PX-760A drive and tried again...unfortunately, I got the *exact* same results on both discs. Even the track CRCs matched. I'm pretty much convinced that these are good rips.

Still really curious about what other versions are out there though.

Is it possible the CRCs on AccurateRip are from the MoRA CD set?

I thought about that, but if they are, it's only a couple of tracks, not the whole disc. Plus I'm not sure EAC will rip DVD audio.
