Yael Naim - Toxic
Great cover. cj - I can't decide what my favorite Stripes album is. Elephant and White Blood Cells are at the top, though. |

I don't really have a favorite yet...the only album that I've heard back to front many times is Icky Thump...the other ones I've just picked at. I'm hoping to remedy this though.

I don't know why, but I prefer their older work over their new stuff. Icky Thump is okay. It's all quality music, so whatever.

Their older work is superior, their heroes are evident in all the records, but I love the rough edges of the early albums. Icky Thump is as solid as albums come nowadays, but give me Elephant anyday of the week.
Get Behind me Satan is probably the only album I'm iffy about. Can't seem to get a clean recording of Seven Nation Army off the vinyl. It sounds great coming out of my speakers but there's so much noise when I try to record to the computer...need better wires probably.

I'm going with Elephant because of You've Got Her in Your Pocket and I Want to be the Boy to Warm Your Mother's Heart. Those are my songs.

Santogold - Shove It
I'm so glad that she's finally touring here as the main act, and not just opening for effing Coldplay. |
