It's a gorgeous, gorgeous song. I wish they'd jam out at the end like in "Yume no ato" though, cos as it stands it seems to end a little unceremoniously.

EMF is going to like this version of Karisome Otome. Hata doesn't get to play the badass drum intro, but the new piano intro is pretty cool. Uki does an OK job filling in for the brass instruments.

While not exactly what you're looking for, you may be pleased with Carnation.

It's available on itunes, and it's on the Tokyo Collection DVD (15th Feb)

I wonder if this song will be her transition back to her solo career, a la Ringo no Uta.

What, those are the best lives for the two songs! Well, any version of Marunouchi is a fave, but the JCHI one is definitely at least one of the top.
I agree with JCHI Rakujitsu, should've been there.

Maybe Shiina Ringo's guitar-playing role in JCHI Rakujitsu (as we heard it) wasn't truly live. Not only do you get off-site footage, but you don't hear any of the acoustics of a concert venue with Shiina Ringo's instrumentals. Thus, if the truly on-site performance wasn't as good as what we've mentally associated with the DVD, then we'd have something more underwhelming than we'd expect, or we'd have a not-completely-live tracklist.

Hopefully there isn't some stupid legal issue surrounding that, like the television network owning it instead of Kronekodow Ltd or EMI Japan.
