I thought 'ugh' when I read this, but I read that she's a huge fan (and probably friend) of SR, so I guess it's like another Tomosaka Rie kind of thing. Ha, poor Tomosaka Rie.

Bet it's gonna sound like Blackout.

Oh, interesting. Asai Kenichi produced a song for her last month. "Cold Finger"...aaaand I just listened to it and it's bad. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ByNX0gx-Z2c

I think the site describes this first track on the SR-produced single as 'cute pop' and the second track as 'languid guitar and vocals riding a hard jazzy rhythm' (lol)

creamy, eh?

season, eh?

Sayonara, ehhhh?!

another round of 3 singles for 3 different artists again? If i were a clever guy, this would be a nice way to get those Sports outtakes into the light of day.

Superficially, "Ketteiteki sanpunkan" seems to be a sister track to "Noudouteki" like FAIR and FOUL. 6 kanji title and all that blahblah.

All of SR/TJ last collaborations were basically just giving other people their leftover songs and it doesn't really work because 1. they can't sing like SR 2. the songs aren't really good anyway.

I guess Ringo did the same thing with Ryōko Hirosue and Rie Tomosaka but at least back then her songs weren't that difficult to sing so those girls could handle it ok.

edit: and I wish Ringo would get more talented female friends to give songs to.

I've seen only one movie with her (Kill Bill doesn't count) - GS Wonderland, and it was a shitty movie with your standard Japanese dorama acting. The Cold Finger Girl song isn't as bad as I expected it to be, but definitely there's nothing impressive about her vocals.

Hirosue Ryouko does much better job at acting (at least from what I've seen) and is also a cutie pie, so I had no problem with their collaboration. But Kuriyama... ugh...

The "season [shiizun]" and "kisetsu" (meaning: season) are a little different. Shiizun like in Season Sayonara is more like a sports season. Kisetsu is a season of the year and refers to one of the four seasons. I don't think the two titles are quite related here when examined from a Japanese standpoint.

Creamy is a really weird way to translate oishii (yummy, tasty, delicious).

I agree that Ketteiteki Sanpunkan seems like a sequel to the first one. Very interesting.
