Kinda just didn't really know where to put this (I cant remember if theres a thread dedicated to it).

But did anyone ever upload scans of the Miki Ninagawa x Ringo interview (the one that's in English)?

I'm asking cause I got a scanner now... and wanna try it out if you catch my drift.

Yes and yes. I remember when it first came out people were saying it was like Ringo reliving her youth/older music through Chiaki and I totally agree...I wish she would write more songs like that again even if she gave them away.

It's difficult not to go off topic in this thread, but I would put money on Oishii Kitesu being a song from her early days. If she resurrected Kudamono no Heya from the demo tapes then she can easily do the same with other songs and I also bet Chiaki's people specifically requested stuff that sounds like her early career. I'm not at all convinced she can still write songs that sound like that, her mind is in different place now.

Well, there *is* that rumor of a 6th demo tape...

How is Oishii Kisetsu so unlike her later work? It seems like it fits pretty well with something like Carnation or Jinsei wa Omoidouri.

I sadly lack the knowledge in music to describe it, but to me early Ringo and later Ringo have two different sound signatures, enough that I sometimes wonder if she had a shadow writer at some point because I didn't think it was possible for one musician to be able to change their musical DNA that much. This isn't me trashing her later stuff, the compositions and especially the vocal melodies just sound different to me. There is overlap, and some songs mix both sounds, but Oshii Kisetsu "pulls" much stronger to her early sound. It just sounds like something that came straight from the demo tapes.
