I really love this brazilian singer, and her singing way, the energy she had on stage (she died in 1982 of cocain overdosis http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elis_Regina). She left a lot of awesome songs, and the one I'm gonna share now with you guys is written by Chico Buarque, and she gets really emotional singing it. If someone gets curious about the lyrics, I can translate it

I'm not exactly part of a new generation of fans. I was old enough to appreciate their music (and be attracted to Miki) when the albums first came out. Out of the albums (not collections), my favorite would be Split. It just works for me. When I Die is one of my favorite songs. I like the earlier Gala stuff more though. As for individual songs...
