I finally gave Guernica's Shinseiki e no Unga a try.

Calling it intense would be an understatement; I had to take a break from it about halfway through.

Yeah, about a year ago. Not sure why.

I'm not 100% on this, but I vaguely recall reading something about her saying that over the years it was becoming harder for her to accurately express herself in that sort of style vocally and musically. Things had started to mellow out for her and the current sound of the band and her current state were incompatible. Something along those lines anyway. I'll see if I can find it. It was an amicable thing though.

Is this a good thing or a bad thing?

Keep persisting cause it's one of the best albums ever.

I laugh when people say stuff like metal is intense or brvtal, then you hear stuff like this album.

It's a good thing.

I need to give it a few more rounds just to digest the music, then some more so I can pay more attention to the lyrics. I actually tried it because I'm working on writing something very theatrical; it definitely provided inspiration.

Bad dog no biscuit - The Seatbelts

Drummer is a beast, the whole concert. Heh, I can't believe I'm just mentioning that.
