Rurutia is sweet... for about 2 months, then she drifts into the "OK" category.
Way to choose the most Ayumi sounding song you could :-p

I have yet to pick up any of her albums, because they're kind of expensive and the album covers have that Enya feel. Will wait and see if her music holds up. HOWEVER if her music does hold up, and I buy it much latter, there's no thrill when I finally get the actual CD.

Wait, do you consider the "Enya feel" to be a good thing or a bad thing? Just so I know where you're coming from lol.

Just listened to the Boris/Joe Volk split EP.
Dug Boris' side alot! I think most people want more long forms from Boris, count me among them. Although, the parts to Cosmos are disappointingly independent, each part is fantastic. Though, I do prefer the other two parts to what dg embedded because I just have to be that way. Joe Volk's side is sonically very good, but in comparison, lacking in ideas. He gets three tracks too, but two are different edits of the same song. So that's a waste of time. The track "Finland" harks back to the Boris side of atmosphere, but this time with an acoustic guitar. It's pretty neat. The EP is very much in the spirit of Boris. The fact they share a disc with someone sonically different is fun. While going from one side to the other, the segue is hilarious and jarring, there is enough thread to tie a pretty cool listen together.

This is Gip-eun Bam Angae Sog (A Heavy Night Fog) by Korean band 3rd Line Butterfly. It's from the 2009 Nine Days or a million EP. Sorry if I screwed up the track title. I know zero Korean. I love the vocalist/guitarist Sang-ah Nam. I am completely enamored with her voice. It's so powerful/desperate at times. If this song brings any interest to you, I suggest the rest of the Nine days EP and Self-titled Obsession. They have an English language album named Ice Cube (Korean version is a four track EP) and apparently all of their albums are available in the USA in a box set. I've seen it listed by American retailers, but I haven't found it available for purchase yet.
