It's a mini 'episode' (Usually just a scene) made to download onto your mobile phone.

Lost Season 4 Trailer! (New footage)
How exciting. It's just unfortunate we're likely to get half a season. And a rather interesting Mobisode. Probably best to read along, due to the bad quality.

And what the hell? They didn't spend 3 years on that island, did they? Wasn't a season about a month or something like that? I'm happy that it seems to continue on the island as the main part. But it seems that, in the end, they WERE rescued. Not completely, as you can see in Jack's behaviour in in the season 2 final, but still, they somehow managed to get away from the island. That makes everything less spectacular, if you know that they DO get away from the beginning. One thing bothers me though: I wonder who's lying in that coffin jacks visits in the last episode. My suggestion would be Ben. Or Locke. The mobisode is cool. A new character confirmed, as it seems, or maybe two. Or maybe some old chars returning (Micheal? The father looking for his son?)

Who said they've been on the island 3 years. I think it's been about 100 days. As for people eventually being rescued, I don't think it'll be as simple as we think. Jack was certainly behaving odd, and there is talk online and in magazines and such of 'The Oceanic 6'. I am going to guess that it's referring to 6 people that leave the island and that's what the press refers to them as.
As for the mobisode, I think it's almost certainly Walt. Michael is looking for him. Walt's a child. And in a Michael/Walt flashback in Season 1, a bird flew into the window in front of Walt.

On September 22, 2004 Oceanic Flight 815 crashed February 2008 Rescue arrives Hmm, you can even see the number "6" in the trailer. I have an idea. I will freeze myself until the end of 2010. Then I'll be able to watch all the LOST seasons in a row. If the writer's guild strike is stopped until then xD

February 2008 is just the Season premier. It means Rescue arrives to them (In December 04) but on our screens in February 2008.

Yeah, but it sounds like they will be rescued then with the words they use...

If its a trailer for season 4, wouldn't they only mention things that happen in season 4? Which means the rescue should happen in the real time Feb 2008 yeah??

I think you guys are looking to far into it. I know what it sounds like, but I think it's just bad wording. The writers don't even have input into the trailers and ABC certainly don't know the date of rescue (assuming there ever is one).
I'm going to assume the date of rescue will be between February and March 05 just based on the fact that we know there are 3 seasons left and each season lasts around a month on the island. However, with the plot jumping to the future now who's to say they're not on the island for 5 more years (for example) and it just jumps forward to a rescue. mid-way through the final season. I don't know... there are many ways to take it.

Well, concerning the virtual Reality Theroy of the island, there IS a chance that neither Jack, nor Kate were really already rescued in the last scene of season 2
