I will confess I am rather perplexed by the choice of tracks for Tokyo Collection. That said, I have no doubt the songs in and of themselves will be great to listen to, and I am really looking forward to 32sai no wakare.

So much for that. Even the SOTC track is, you know, Mirrorball.

They picked the worst songs from each tour? I mean, some of these songs aren't even crowd pleasers or even well-regarded. It seems so random to me...

That shitty tracklist wouldn't even be worth pirating.

yowzaaaas seriously.
first of all, as a *JIHEN* live retrospective, I'm glad they including Dynamite Out, but still, what they chose to include was a bit.... I mean you have great alternative arrangements from Domestic Virgin Line as well as phenomenal arrangements of old hits on recent tours (Sounan on Ultra C).... I guess the proof will be in the pudding...or not. |

Otherwise, I'm still gonna get it, you know, for collection's sake The DVD should be alright though. Also, I doubt this will be last DVD, I guess they will probably milk the TJ franchise by releasing a Bon Voyage DVD too...

that said, it has never been confirmed that the tracks included in this particular release are taken from the same performance released on DVDs. They have only said it is a live best album and they have confirmed which tours the songs have come from, but we are all just assuming at this point that these songs are the going to be the same as the performances recorded for the DVDs. Given that multiple shows have been recorded over a length of any given tour and the quality of some of those included here and on respective DVDs, I wouldn't be surprised if some of the larger tours included alternate nights/takes from what we already have..... still, no Ikiru from Ultra C? harsh. edit: they have dates posted for the songs in question. I checked and it looks like the dates match up with the recorded DVDs. LAME Last edited by kuro_neko : 2012.01.31 at 07:38 PM. |

"Best ofs" usually only have 2 new/previously unreleased songs...
Unless these have alternate mixes or something, it really isn't worth getting unless you're a sucker like I am...
