;;head desk;;

fucking barney, please bitchhhhesss, that is so mary poppins, and her bag was waaaaaaaayyyy hotter. seriously, barney fucking sucks.

and everytime I see Ringo with a massive huge bag like that and she looks more Shibuya-kei I secretly want to die. The world is being taken over by gals and I want to scream when I see good girls convert, especially since all the hot rock guys want gals for girlfriends many amazing alternative women think they have to dress like a gal to get the guy. FUCKKKK YOUUUUUUU
;;shakes fist;;

I meant "gals," not kogal specifically, because there is a rather large classification of gals.

http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/ギャル

kogal, yamanba, manba, bibinba, ogyaru, onegyaru, etc etc

"gal" (gyaru) is the general term for the entire classification of all of them together. Kogal doesn't entire fit in the case of Ringo, I just mean the entire aesthetic of materialism, in this case her HUGE MOFO of a bag. Although the whole lifestyle of gals doesn't fit with Ringo considering its all about being useless and relying on men for pretty much everything, its like the anti-Ringo lifestyle.

i don't think it's her large bag that's the problem - she needs to hold that laptop and notebook and all. i have more of a problem with her expensive clothes and need to change several outfits in one bokura no ongaku!
her obsession with pretty dresses is just so damn distracting from her music.

^ Any time she is on the screen she is distracting. Any video, in fact, is distracting in a way, if you are new to the music. But how can you, as a fan who knows the music, be distracted by what she wears?? I never get this arguement. I always think that it is good to change outfits because it adds a sort of theatricality to the performances, where the outfits can match the moods of the songs better.

it might just be me personally, since i i have this idea stuck in my head that her obsession with appearance mirrors her materialism, or what i think is materialistic. it almost becomes, shiina ringo, clothes horse no. 1, musician second.

to make unfair comparisons, tabuchi hisako is relatively unconcerned with the label of her clothes. asai kenichi, i think, would not advertise for apple. but who knows?
