Ooh, good post. I hadn't heard of that yet.
BTW Floor Shaker is the other side of the Orange 7", (the one released with the poster of Wata worshiping her Orange amps). Did you know BORIS is doing a massive US/Canada tour this July/August? They play almost every night, it's an insane schedule. I better make it to at least one show, or I'll die of shame.

Bachata en Fukuoka
I confess I generally find Juan Luis Guerra boring (though I do love some bachata--and I want to get back to dancing it, and finishing learning how to dance the basic well--something I still cannot do, so much that it physically pains me). But this has an obvious SR connection of sorts. And, I mean, how many times does Fukuoka get mentioned in popular music outside of Japan? (Does it even get mentioned much in Japan?)

I will keep an eye out for Boris on tour. Not sure they'd play Albuquerque, but you never know. |

Brilliant, fascinating, and deliciously unfathomable to a young teenager who was, well, astonished about being astonished. I'm fonder of Before and After Science. Perhaps because I was just becoming aware at that time that there was an extraordinary universe of music that existed out of the periphery of what I had been fed.
-edit- Was just listening to and savoring some newer Eno things. Still way old but so present. He is just so extraordinary wide.

Kent's new album. "En plats i solen"
Might be better than last year's "Röd". |
