Cool

Ooh, good post. I hadn't heard of that yet.
BTW Floor Shaker is the other side of the Orange 7", (the one released with the poster of Wata worshiping her Orange amps).
Did you know BORIS is doing a massive US/Canada tour this July/August? They play almost every night, it's an insane schedule. I better make it to at least one show, or I'll die of shame.

Default Bachata en Fukuoka

I confess I generally find Juan Luis Guerra boring (though I do love some bachata--and I want to get back to dancing it, and finishing learning how to dance the basic well--something I still cannot do, so much that it physically pains me). But this has an obvious SR connection of sorts. And, I mean, how many times does Fukuoka get mentioned in popular music outside of Japan? (Does it even get mentioned much in Japan?)

Juan Luis Guerra - "Bachata en Fukuoka"

I'm relatively new to Boris (knew of them but wasn't into what I heard from Pink, got a little interested in late 2007 on the basis of Feedbacker, and then really liked Smile in 2008), don't buy vinyl, and am not much of a completist in general, so I don't know these things. I do hope to get my hands on a more Boris CDs eventually. (I had heard "Yesterday Morning," but I have to confess that even though I like Mabuta No Ura, I tend to have a hazy recollection of parts of it.)

I will keep an eye out for Boris on tour. Not sure they'd play Albuquerque, but you never know.

Seeing that cover makes me a little sad I no longer have my vinyl copy (despite the fact that I have no turntable and haven't had one for ages).
Eno's stuff to me was so special in the late '70's.
Brilliant, fascinating, and deliciously unfathomable to a young teenager who was, well, astonished about being astonished.

I'm fonder of Before and After Science. Perhaps because I was just becoming aware at that time that there was an extraordinary universe of music that existed out of the periphery of what I had been fed.

Brian Eno - Julie With

Brian Eno - Ascent

-edit-

Was just listening to and savoring some newer Eno things. Still way old but so present.

He is just so extraordinary wide.

Kent's new album. "En plats i solen"
Might be better than last year's "Röd".

Just wondering how it took me six years to pick up this album.
