I'm really digging Feist. Shes like Cat Power, minus alot of the boring (a VERY good thing) and also minus alot of drunkenness (probly a good thing too.)
Havent hunkered into a whole album yet, but I'm working on it. Her videos are fun. 1234 is probly my fav in a while (audio and video wise.) A hint of Beth Orton too perhaps.

I overplayed Feist's debut album. Haven't followed her stuff since then. Am I missing out?
Listening to: Cibelle - Hate

The singles from her newest album are great at least, havent listened to the full deal yet.
To hear the singles, turn on your tv to your channel of choice and wait for the commercials. Seems like her songs are in every ad =P

No Doubt - Tragic Kingdom. It's a pretty old, but brilliant album. I found it again in my stack o' cds yesterday and have been playing it since. I can't find one bad song on this album.

I just heard Heisei Fuzoku. I had not heard it for quite a while so I would like to confirm that it is still mind-bottling-awesome.

Yeah, just on me. NO PROB.
But anyway, I'm sure you know the feeling when an album can just take hold of you. That's what I feel with this album. Which reminds me of when I bought it, I just looked at the track list and said, "those are the singles that I've seen on youtube all in one album, I need it". And then it turned out to be all orchestrated which was awesome. I didn't know anything about her discography so I assumed this was the first time the singles were on an album for the first time. It was such a great surprise |
