I see what you mean, but it is a fair point. The prospect of a "first original album in 5 years" should be exciting, but now it just feels labored, and proves what people have been saying for years about her decisions being commercially-based. Just compare the buzz surrounding SG's release and HIT - the forums are (unsurprisingly) dead. Where's the reward for fans like EMF users who have been following Ringo closely for years?

You're part of the international fan base and therefore you don't matter.

All those previously released tracks have totally derailed any hype train for this album before it left the station. She should have just put an e.p. out instead of the heavy padding.

Derailed any hype where? Just on these forums? Or for you? I don't visit any other Shiina Ringo discussion boards so I can't say how the general fan base feels and any feedback I do read will be from fans not from Japan, but there was a news announcement on Sputnik Music for her new album and everyone that commented was excited.

There are varying levels of fans. There could be some people that haven't even heard these singles before. I suspect the majority of people commenting on Sputnik haven't heard the singles that are on this album now. Most of them stick to her albums and call it a day.

I said it earlier, but when Irohanihoheto came out, I was honestly expecting it to be on whatever album she decided put out next and here it is. I'm happy about this, because I hated having it as some stand alone song on some single separate from an album.
