Compare a Bossa Nova Classic (The Girl from Ipanema) to Shakira doing a more modern Bossa Nova. Also compare to the single version of Ringo no Uta. I've been on a Bossa Nova trip lately. |

Belated thanks, so cold, for the tips on what music I'm listening to. Actually I saw someone else talking about post-bassline, so I know I am way behind since I didn't know there was any sub-genre called bassline. Not that I seriously try to keep up with electronic dance genres at all. However, I am finding myself liking more in the general "dance music" vein. I've liked the basic UK funky approach to rhythm since I first heard it, but there were usually things (especially the vocals) that got in the way for me. However, I'm finding more UK funky with minimal, fragmented, or acceptable vocals. In particular, some things from Ill Blu:
Or for a better sampling (since I just grabbed that from youtube without really knowing his tracks in detail): http://www.mediafire.com/?7qmql62ot6ppqsc Last edited by Superficial Fan : 2011.09.18 at 08:28 PM. |
