And that's terrible.

Because one of the best things about Ringo is the musical development she shows with each album, and it's sad how this new release fits a little too well with something from 2 years ago.
I think it's the result of Ringo pursuing a particular sound rather than not developing - or that could just be another way of saying she isn't developing, I don't know. This single definitely hearkens back to Kono Yono Kagiri, and reaching even further back, I don't think Aisaka no Choushoku would sound out of place on this single. I guess it just depends which version of Ringo you like more.

I get what you're saying though. I wish Ringo wouldn't reserve her rock music just for TJ (because those guys don't know how to rock out).

More like Irokoizata would fit well on Carnation.

I finally got my copy in the mail; I've never had something from CD Japan take so long before.

I am very, very pleased. I agree with those who have said that both B-sides are better than the A-side, and I like Carnation fine. A walz + a samba + a banjo = win.

Not to reopen old wounds, but I also heard the Kono yo ni resemblance.

This is overly dramatic, but listening to this single makes me feel like she is gradually remembering who she is and what she likes about music.

Wow, that is quite long... CDJapan have a pretty decent track record for me, always pretty fast. Did you choose the SAL option that they now offer or something?

That's the only reaon you don't hear what we hear!
I thought hearing deteriorated with age? Most new fans are younger, so their hearing should actually be better... that's why there are ringtones teenagers can use that are in a range their parents won't hear.

Even if younger fans have had less time to lose their hearing, they're more assimilated within a modern culture (MP3s + cheap earbuds) which facilitates hearing loss.
