Multiple kooky characters appearing one after another, the style of narration, the black humour and the sentiments both movies express are very similar.

Might as well compare them both to One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.

You didnt even make it to the most convoluted parts that people have real trouble with/complaining about the most inconsequential element of the entire film- it really doesn't matter where the gangsters are from whatsoever :-p
The action scenes are still a lot of fun though.

I found it weird how so many people picked apart Lucy for bad science or whatever when you don't have people sitting there going
"Well the HULK could NEVER happen!!!" Like, suspend your disbelief people. Why is it is so hard for this one particular movie? It wasn't fantastic, but it was a good action flick and Scarlet Johanssan is amazing. |

Contain spoilers!
The "science" part is decent though I keeping get the message "drug makes you see things". Cannot picture Morgan Freeman as anything but prison inmate. The action part is just silly, killing a patient on the operating table, but sparing the life of mafia boss, who later came back for revenge and had gunfight with that cop, and while cop was having a life death struggle, she turned into a tree, right after she made all those thugs' weapons stick on the ceiling in an early scene. The kissing scene is cheesy too, and in the end isn't the USB another way of saying "plug me hard". |

Watched Mr. Vampire I and II, pretty much HK's Re-animator. The first one is a horror comedy masterpiece while the second one is still entertaining but a farce to me.

^ No but it's on my list of HK movies to watch. The literal translation of the title is "Ghost Fighting Ghost", they also have "Human Scaring Ghost", "Human Scaring Human", "Ghost Biting Ghost" plus 40 other zombie movies including the recent "Rigor Mortis".
