It's not really easy to explain. I don't think it's the style of music they make as much as it is the way they present it. How about stuff that's lighthearted, but not campy? Kinda like those Carnation B-sides or Kokoro. The "generic" Tokyo Jihen sound is the bland, campy stuff like this song.

See, that's weird. I found the second Carnation B-Side to be way more campy than this.

I really, really hate Izawa bridge/solo in this song.

Yeah, the solo was a little awkward.

Anyway, does anyone know what the line means at the end of the video?

"beaucoup de bruit pour rien"

Google translate gave me this: "much ado for nothing" in french

Google search on the term gave me a shakespeare play and a movie.

Does anyone know what would this mean? Colour bars theme? Or Ringo's next solo album theme?

"kara sawagi" is a phrase that means "much ado about nothing" (according to my dictionary) "sawagi" (the same one in "Omaturi Sawagi") literally means uproar or disturbance.
So "Konya wa Kara Sawagi" means "Tonight is/For Tonight, much ado about nothing"
So the french is just a transliteration of the Japanese title.
The idiom "much ado about nothing" itself means to have a lot of excitement for something unimportant.

Ringo has been translating her song titles into French lately. She did it for the carnation single.

Izawa's piano solo sounds unpalatable because its a bebop jazz improv solo. lol

They all sound like that!

The song sounded very pleasant to me. I honestly could not listen to Daihaken album. I found myself either waiting for a song to end, or completely skipping. This song got me very excited and kept me wanting for more the second it started playing. Something about seeing Shiina with her signature mole and all of you discussing the possibilities of possible symbolism that might be present just makes me crave and look forward for what's to come next. I hope it's not a permanent end to TJ but, I hope this leads to more work and some solo work as well. Guess it's time to wait and see.

"Beaucoup de Bruit Pour Rien" is the french title for a Shakespeare's piece of theater: Much Ado For Nothing. This is why google gave you the shakespeare reference.

About the sense between the clip and the title, i don't know. As long as I ignore the lyrics.

I see the consensus so far is that the piano solo is awkward or unpalatable. On the other hand, I just think it fits perfectly with the overall feel of the song — it's not caotic/virtuoso/fast-tempo yet it still breaks enough with the continuity. At least for me.

I actually like the piano solo. Its classy!

but i get why some might not like it just like they might think Cab Calloway's scatting is weird.

its musical caviar
