The more I get into this band, the more I'm treated to playful insanity like this. I'm excited. Count me a fan. And from the live performances, I've gotta get to a show one day.

It's fascinating how the entirety of the Tokyo Jihen project had such an identifiable peak (above.) We didn't know that the above performance would be their full potential -- it was so early on we thought there would be more and better. And its almost funny how the rest of the live set hinted at the band's future. There's no way to top that performance of Souretsu, but the iteration of Gunjo that followed was interesting and admirable. I think they followed that with ..Kabuki? (the short punchy track from Adult.) and that was good, and then the quick slope downward until you prayed for the end credits. Their first performances (Meet the World Beat) were good, Kyouiku was aight, I'd marry Dynamite Out if I could, Shuraba was great, Adult was fine and then this performance Souretsu. It culminated in those moments. Its better than DO. The only thing that came remotely close was that Hata song.

If you don't like GIPS, I do not think we can be friends. (Unless you qualify for the JustRiingo exception...but even then, I think we'd be better friends if we saw eye to eye on that.)

http://forums.electricmole.net/showt...7550#post87550 Not even top 10 material. Just makes me want to listen to EM Kuki because it did everything a live Souretsu should set out to do.

Off the top of my head, I'd consider: Ekimae Yume no Ato Kuki Denki no Nai Machi Mayonaka wa Junketsu La Salle de Bain Gips as more impressive live showings so calling Souretsu the peak is going a tad overboard.
